Major Snowfall in California-Nevada Sierra Nevada Mountains

Date:

As seen on the satellite image above, a major winter storm just went through California and Nevada, causing Interstate road closures and other issues yesterday. Today, the National Weather Service (NWS) at Reno issued a snowfall total report that showed anywhere from 0.3 to 32 inches of accumulation from the storm.

Condtions over the Donner Summit of Interstate 80 were still treacherous due to the snow, according to traffic cameras.
