It has been an unusually cold and snowy spring and beginning of summer across Argentina and Chile, at trend that worsened further on July 3, when heavy snowstorm hit, stranding the region’s livestock, especially sheep, in snow, reports Storyful.

An extraordinary snowstorm swept across the Patagonian provinces in Argentina recently, burying several regions in multiple feet of snow, local media reported.

The snowstorm caused widespread communication disruptions and isolated communities, local media said.

Footage recorded by Ricardo Alejo Tapia in late June shows sheep buried in deep snow, while the rest of the flock makes its way across the white landscape.

“After the recording, the animals that appear in the video were rescued,” Tapia told Storyful.
