The Greenfield Recorder reports Orange, Massachusetts experienced a historic low temperature recorded for the date of July 10.
A temperature of 47 degrees was recorded at The Automated Surface Observing Station (ASOS) at the Orange Municipal Airport early Sunday morning on July 10. This was the lowest temperature ever recorded on that date by the station.
This temperature was more than 12 degrees lower than the average monthly low for July recorded by the Orange Municipal Airport’s ASOS system since it began operations. By comparison, July 2020 and 2021 saw average monthly lows of 64.4 and 60.4 degrees, respectively, according to the National Weather Service’s database.
