The BBC recently reported that Scotland’s 2021/2022 winter season was unusually cold.
Met Office forecasters said the Scotland recorded its coldest winter since 2011, with the west of Scotland being far colder, drier, and sunnier than usual while the east was wetter.
For the island nation as a whole, “January was the UK’s coldest January since 2010 – and the coldest month since March 2013,” wrote the BBC citing the Met Office’s annual “State of the UK Climate report.”
