The U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) issued several different types of winter weather advisories for various regions in Montana on December 3.

KULR 8 in Billings, Montana reports that snow was common across the state, especially at higher elevations and high winds were making travel hazardous. KULR 8 writes:

Temperatures ranged from the lower 30s in the major valleys of western Montana to the upper 30s and 40s central and east.

A winter weather advisory continues west of the divide through tonight. This includes Kalispell, Polson, Thompson Falls, Libby, and Eureka, where some additional accumulations of snow and glaze will occur before temperatures rise above freezing. There is a winter storm warning for Yellowstone National Park. Several more inches of snow fall above 6500 feet.

Radar shows widespread snow across western Montana, with a little also coming around Conrad and east of Helena in central Montana.

Wind gusts topping 40 miles per hour (mph) and even 50 mph blew across the state, with 20 mph winds being common. Nighttime temperatures are expected to dip into the 20s, although the high winds will make it feel much colder.
