Weather in Tri-State Area Prompts Snow Emergency Warnings

WCPO 9 in Cincinnati reports that back to back cold fronts accompanied by heavy snow have prompted counties in the tri-state area of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana to issue “snow emergencies.”

“A surprising amount of snow fell across the region Sunday prompting several counties to issue snow emergencies,” says WCPO. “The Tri-State got between 3 and 6 inches of snow, and more is on the way later this week.”

A second winter stormfront is expected to arrive in arrive in the tri-state area Tuesday and Wednesday, with weather forecasters warning it could add an additional six inches of snow to the snow already on the ground. According to WCOP, the snowfall will likely “make travel throughout the day Wednesday a nightmare.”
