The same wintry storm system that dumped snow early in the week on mountain peaks and passes in California is now expected to drop measurable snow in the mountains of Montana, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), which issued Winter Weather Advisories for Glacier National Park and other mountains in Montana.
“Hot on the heels of unseasonal Californian snowfall, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued Winter Weather Advisories for this Wednesday in the mountains across Northwest Montana,” reported Powder. “This morning, the Missoula, Montana, division of the NWS broke the news on Twitter.”
“Winter Weather Advisories have been issued from 6 AM – 6 PM Wednesday across [Glacier National Park] & US Highway 2 over Marias Pass & the Mission/Swan Mountains above 5,000 feet,” said the NWS.
A Fox News affiliate for western Montana, Montana Right Now, reported that the NWS forecast said that as much as six inches of snow could fall in the Glacier Park region, complicating travel on various roads and highways, such as “Logan Pass and Marias Pass along Highway 2.”
