Several news outlets reported that Rapid City, South Dakota received heavy snow on March 31, continuing into the early morning hours of April 1.
The National Weather Service in Rapid City, issued a winter weather advisory for parts of Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming, where temperatures were below freezing, and snow was falling.
The Rapid City Journal posted videos of the overnight snow, the second bout of snow and lingering winter weather to coat the city in a week.
“Snow will end from west to east this morning,” reported KOTA. “Roads are slushy and hazardous – be careful when you head out.”
Temperatures remained below freezing overnight early in the week. The region is expected to experience more spring-like conditions, with warmer temperatures and rain, by the end of the week.
