Blizzard warnings cover a large portion of western and central South Dakota. The National Weather Service (NWS) Office at Rapid City South Dakota issued this statement on Twitter:

Blizzard conditions are continuing across portions of western South Dakota. Winds are gusting to 45 to 60 mph. Snow will continue today, with additional accumulations that will largely depend on location. Some light icing may make roadways slippery. Travel is discouraged.

Strong winds and heavy snow are causing significant blowing and drifting snow with white-out conditions.

Meanwhile, Nebraska is now being hit by the storm, but it is winding down, but not before bringing significant snowfall to the state. The NWS in North Platte NE reports on this map that as much as 5 inches of additional snowfall is expected:

They add:

The persistent snow has transitioned to snow showers for much of the area, but blustery winds are still making travel conditions hazardous… Visibility will drop to 1/4 mi. at times today.
