Seven Argentine ski resorts are expecting fresh, heavy in some places, snow to fall this week, according to J2Ski.com.

With below freezing temperatures on the mid-and-upper slopes the existing snowpack is going nowhere soon. Capelco, Las Lenas, and Cerro Castor are reporting 48, 47, and 31 inches of snowpack respectively.

Weather forecasts indicate that each of those resorts and four others will receive new snow in the coming week ranging from a low of approximately 1 inch in Parque Cavihue to 49 inches in Las Lenas.

“Powder Alarms and Snow Storm Warnings have been issued for at least 4 ski areas including Cerro Bayo, Chapelco, La Hoya, and Las Leñas,” reports J2Ski discussing the snow forecast for the next seven days.
