After a scorching heat wave during much of July and August, Texas has now received below-average temperatures, and even set a new record.

The National Weather Service in Midland Texas reports:

We set a record cold high for the day at Midland Intl. with 79°F. This breaks the old record of 81°F last set in 1965. We will continue to enjoy below average temperatures for the next few days!
